eI had the benefit of four years of training under late Chandan Mishra of Banaras gharana who taught me the academics of music.
After that I trained for four years under Shree Mukesh Desai who is a disciple of Pt. Jasraj of Mewati Gharana and from whom I learnt the vocal science.
I then had the benefit of six years of training with Krishna Chakraborty of Rampur Sahaswan Gharana.
Intermittently I also received guidance from Pt. Rajan and Sajan Mishra and Late Bireshwar Gautam from whom I learned the romantic styles of light classical singing.
To add to all this I also received guidance from Late ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh.
With gratitude towards my excellent teachers I am now independent and I not only teach and perform but also compose my own music. You can hear my own composition on this.
